Bing Webmaster Tools integration

Learn more about how the SEO software Visual SEO Studio, integrates with BWT

Visual SEO Studio uses Bing Webmaster tools APIs to extend its reporting functions.

The most notable usage is the integration with "Page traffic" data from Bing/Yahoo; it permits adding Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Average Impression Position and Average Click position data for crawled pages.

The integration is available in Tabular View (used for showing the whole crawled pages set, or a subset obtained from Custom Filters or any of the Suggestions reports), in Images Inspector, in Data Extraction, in Readability Analysis, and in the list of links in Links Inspector.

How to use the "Bing Page Traffic" integration

It works post-crawl. You first need to crawl your site. You can also inspect a previously crawled site loading the crawl session from the local database.

Once you visualize your crawl data with the "Tabular View" - the whole or the result of a filtering - or launch "Data Extraction" or "Readability Analysis" or "Links Inspector", the main grid has an additional option available in the context menu (you can access it by clicking on the upper left corner, where the gear symbol is):

Clicking on it you'll be presented the following configuration window:

to let you select all Page Traffic filtering options as you are used in the Google Webmaster tools dashboard.

If you didn't do it already, the first time you'll be asked to grant Visual SEO Studio permission to access your Bing Webmaster tools data by providing an API key:

Data is cached in memory to reduce API quota consumption when possible.

There are other shortcuts to add Bing/Yahoo Page Traffic data.
For example, the Tabular View provides an easier to spot mini-button on its top-right corner:

Links Inspector main table provide the choice to add Bing/Yahoo metrics related to the links source or destination URL:
